Village Vibes | Deck and BBQ

Even better than we expected! This cabin has quality of yesteryear construction paired with modern day refinement. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Our favorites were: windows with gorgeous trees outside, darling living room and alllllllll the outside places to hang. We spent so much time outside in the swing and on the deck. The perfect cabin to be our cozy home as we explored all the natural wonders in the area. We will definitely be back!

Cozy nice stay

Cabin was wonderful. 2 buildings on property. The one with posted address was not the rental- a little confusing. You have to consult the listing photo to determine which building. Drive entry is not for lower vehicles, you'll high center. Bathroom really should have an exhaust fan. Listed blue ray player was not on site. Fireplace had not been cleaned. For the price paid, listed check in and check out times should be adjusted to paying customers needs without charge, rather than the cleaners schedules. Expect to haul your own trash out, dumpster is not close by or convenient.

Positive: Nice little cabin that was well equipped and comfortable. Negative: The driveway wouldn’t be accessible with a low clearance vehicle

Nice comfy cabin, beautiful view great place to get away

NIce, clean, quiet location. They have a property manager or handyman service the place. There was no propane and they asked me to fill (which I did and they reimbursed me). However, the grill did not get above ~125 degrees, despite their handyman stopping over, while we were away, testing it and giving his okay? The grill was filthy as well. Other than that I liked the location and the cabin is small but cozy. Also, there is about a 10 step process for checking out, including bringing all garbage to some community dump area bout 2-3 miles away, ho hum.

The cabin was peaceful and the drive up to the cabin had great views. I appreciate the heaters on the floor to help keep the cabin warm. Highly recommend this cabin!

This is a great cabin for a peaceful weekend. It had all the necessities.

I did have a few complaints when I first showed up, but they were promptly resolved, and I was well taken care of. I did write a complaint to the host and I wish I would not have the overall stay was well worth it and I would go back again.

The host were amazing with communication. The cabin looked better than in the pictures and the view from the back deck were amazing. The cabin itself was very clean and felt just like home. Loved our stay and my boys didn’t wanna leave. We will definitely be back in the future.

Great cozy cabin with privacy! Clean and so comfortable with a well stocked kitchen for cooking in. We enjoyed the deck in the evening and loved having coffee watching the sun come across the valley in the morning from the swing. The view is amazing from the swing. Several deer passed right through the property and the birds were incredible. Great location to fishing, hiking and village amenities. Really fun home cooking restaurants close by - highly recommend Aunt Sue's. Love the sense of humor in Duck Creek with organic firewood and gluten free ice. We loved our stay and will look to stay here again in the future!

Dirty and unpleasant. Negative: IF YOU DONT LIKE SPIDERWEBS AND SPIDERS… DO NOT STAY HERE!! My first night we killed 4 spiders, had to clean off spiderwebs from the kitchen and bathroom. First thing I noticed as soon as I walked in was all the spiderwebs in the kitchen. Trash was left behind from a previous stay. It seemed as if it wasn’t checked on before our arrival. I know it’s a cabin, but I’ve stayed at many cabins in Duck Creek in the past and this has by far been the worst. Paid nearly $800 for an unpleasant stay. If we hadn’t traveled nearly 5 hours to get there, we would’ve turned back.

Very nice and peaceful, great location. Few changes would have made it better Positive: Location, quiet. Deck, swing, grill. Kitchen had variety of utensils. Clean Negative: Cobb webs in ceiling corners, no wood for fireplace, kitchen faucet was temperamental with keeping hot water going, bed was very firm.

Good for a little family. Enjoyed the thoughtful kitchen and bathroom amenities. Nice outdoor space. Close to some restaurants and stores (like 3 minutes), lakes and hikes (3-20 minutes). My 2 year old had a great time.

Cabin was/is very nice, but it is a cabin in the woods so don't expect the Taj Mahal. A little hard to find, look for the house numbers on the trees. Outside deck and the swing on the patio were great. Very peaceful, we were there on Wed and Thur night. 2 min to Duck Creek Village and close to everything in the area. We will go back if we can.

First and foremost. I understand its location and possibility of insects. However, not my first time on the mountain. Spiders in every corner of the house, ants on the ground inside, spiderwebs all over the place as well as other insects. So bad we didn’t even stay. We rented another cabin. For the safety of my year and half year old we had to leave and the host was not understanding what so ever. I went in the cabin and less then 30 mins I was leaving with my family. If you have children DO NOT rent this cabin. If they are charging a cleaning fee, the place should be clean when you arrive. Not a dust infested cabin with insects everywhere. Very upset they would not refund for safety issues with my son. Horrible experience and customer service.

The cabin is super cute and looks like you're in a Hallmark movie. Hosts are very nice and responsive. We loved the deck and swing. We went during the 4th of July and it was very noisy. Neighbors partied and faught at night. I get it, its a busy holiday. Across the street is were they rent side by sides. The kitchen utensils were dirty. The floor has not been cleaned/mopped. Old food and crumbs in between crevices in the kitchen.

Cute little Cabin, felt very private and cozy! Had all listed amenities and perfect for a get away to Duck Creek! It was close enough to walk to anything in town and centrally located to drive to any activities! We loved our stay and will look to stay here again in the future!

This place had all you need for a peaceful private getaway from the city life. Even though it had one of the greatest selections of movies I have ever seen in the airbnb locations there was no need for them as we were trying to enjoy every bit of fresh air and views that this village and this cabin have to offer.

The cabin was exactly what we needed. This was one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed :)

Perfect little spot! Right in the middle looking over the heart of duck creek. Beautiful balcony, bbq grill, basketball hoop and everything you could need for the perfect little getaway.

Cabin was just as described. We were treated to a light and lovely snowfall which highlighted all the pretty pines. Host was extremely communicative and the cabin was cozy but had all conveniences. It was a really nice stay. Thank you so much.

If you want to stay in Duck Creek village, find someone else to stay with- not with McKay! There are tons of cabins in the area you can book with that will be much better. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE! First, it was VERY difficult to get here. The first night we got in it snowed, and despite having AWD and chains, we could not make it up the steep hill. We had to park a half mile away and walk to the Airbnb. Second, we reached out to our host to have the driveway cleared of snow so we could park. He told us it would be plowed, and it never was. The last night we shoveled the driveway ourselves so we could pack up our car. Third, we booked the cabin for 3 people. We were provided only one blanket. We requested another blanket three days in a row, and we NEVER heard back from the host. NO communication from the owner on our issues. There are lots of spiders. The hot water runs out super fast, and takes a long time to heat up. Water pressure sucks. The WiFi went out.

othis cabin is cozy and has everything you need for a few people. Could use some deep cleaning. Overall, it’s a quiet place to get away.

The cabin is fantastic! You couldn’t ask for a better setup! From the star gazing on the back deck to the fireplace, and your own personal Blockbuster of DVD’s to choose from, this place was truly a great time. The bed is also extremely comfortable and the shower was always hot. 10/10 will return!

The cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. Small and private, but also super close to the town store if you need anything. The cabin was just as described, had all the necessary amenities. We would have loved to have a dvd player in the main room to watch their collection of movies on the main tv. Bring your warm clothes because it can get pretty chilly during the winter season.

Nice relaxing and restorative weekend. Beautiful foliage, saw lots of deer. Very peaceful. Cabin had both a Keurig 2 and a regular coffee maker. Cute set up.

We had a great time staying here and the location was perfect for visiting lots of naturally beautiful places.

This was perfect for winding down after a week of hiking, camping, and much driving. It was cozy and the kitchen was fully stocked. Everything was easy from check-in to check-out and it had clear instructions for trash disposal. McKay responded very fast and was very kind. 10/10 recommend.

Nice little cabin, older then on the picture! Location near a ATV road and other cabins. So be ready for a bit of noice. Bbq very nasty.

This is a cozy peaceful home, ideal for one or two people. It has a really pretty patio. It's very convenient to the retail area of Duck Creek Village. One caution, if you're towing a trailer, parking may be a little tight. 100% we would stay here again!

Had an amazing stay at the cabin, felt right at home. Definitely recommend you have a 4x4 vehicle makes it so much easier to get around town and ventures into the dirt roads to hike trails. Make sure you grab groceries and firewood before heading up into Duck Creek! Nearest town is Cedar where they have big supermarkets. Also if you need to do laundry, there’s a laundromat in Cedar. There’s a lot to see and explore in Duck Creek and fairly close to big parks. Enjoy!!

We stayed for a week, which was a last-minute decision. We had been camping nearby and wanted to stay longer. We went to Moab, and it was too hot. Found this house to head back to. We loved the area, deer walking around every day. It was so beautiful!. The house was perfect for the 2 of us. Loved staying here!!

The cabins location was ideal for walking to breakfast or dinner. The cabin itself is very comfortable and had a great outdoor fire pit area and deck for relaxing. McKay was a very responsive host. I would definitely stay here again.
